We didn't see any birds beyond what we would have seen on a walk anywhere in the city. However, it is a nice escape and beautiful walk on level paths. It is not overly peaceful as you can hear traffic from every location of the path. I wouldn't make an intentional trip but would stop in for a walk if... More

Grab your walking shoes, your binoculars, and a drink and spend an hour or so walking through the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. You won't regret it. A river tributary runs through the sanctuary, and the old-growth trees are lush and inviting for birds and humans alike. You can also see beaver dams and, if you are lucky, catch sight of the... This place is a great spot to spend some time looking at the wonderful nature reserve. We didn't see any birds this day. There is no charge for admission, so stop in for something unique to do for zero cost.

This used to be one of my favourite places in Calgary to go for a nice relaxing stroll. More recently, the site has been under construction or preservation which makes it for a very short walk. I always see some sort of wildlife, be it in the dead of summer or freeze of winter! Definitely worth checking out, but I... More

Not always a hot spot but you might catch a few magnificent birds on occasion. A peaceful afternoon walk is the by product of bird watching!

With the devastation from the 2013 floods still affecting the park, I didn't see a lot of birds on my recent walk. But really enjoyed getting to the Bow River on their newly reopened trail that goes left from the access area before you cross the bridge. While some of the critters may have migrated south or just moved on... More

When we were there at 5:15pm all we saw was magpies, robins, and some starlings. Very disappointing. Also uncomfortable as there are no bathrooms outside and the center (where I assume there were bathrooms) was closed.
