We visited Bowness Park on a Friday evening at the height of the summer season..what an enjoyable experience for all..old and young!!..there was ample parking space and even if there isn't you can park in a nearby designated area and use the free shuttle service...More

Bowness has been beautifully rebuilt since the 2012 flood destroyed the park. Great place for picnics, BBQ's, river rafting, cycling and walking.

Not only is the boat rental not open yet, but as the beginning got July the Cafe is still closed. It has been rebuilt and according to The City website is expected to be open sometime this summer.
