This park has been around forever. You can picnic there, play all sorts of sports or just relax in the sunshine. It is a perfect park walking or running. Lots of room for the kids to play.

I love Stanley park! Can start at Sandy Beach. Walk along the path for 15-20 minutes. To your left is the Elbow River. Then, Stanley Park. Wide open space. Swimming pool. Picnic area. Sit by the river. Or, keep walking and go into other neighborhoods....More

Best area in Calgary. Peaceful space to enjoy numerous activities. From boot camps to lawn bowling. Swimming, biking, tennis, baseball, pic-nic area with grills, childrens playground, fields large enough for soccer, summer car shows and a great winter rink outdoors. Amazingly inner city accessible. Superb...

Great place for a family picnic. There is a city pool here if you want to go for a swim. Bike path goes along the river and connects to the Bow River Pathway system.
