Relaxing on the walkways by biking, walking, running and in some areas riding horses. Winter time the city cleans the paths.

I have only been on the pathways in NW Calgary so can't rate any others. The paths are well maintained and in the winter generally free from ice and snow. Walking a dog there is a pleasure most days and everyone keeps to the rules - EXCEPT - people on bikes who go far too fast and just love to... More

I think that the parks and trails along the river are the nicest part of Calgary. Worth spending the time to take a nice walk.

My husband and I have found there are a million adventures when you hit the bike paths. Beautiful parks, the zoo from the outside, festivals and markets are can be found on the pathway system in Calgary.

Excellent network of trails/paths which far exceeds most cities. You can ride/walk for kilometres on end with out touching a road.

Best paths are along the Rivers as there is some great views. Unfortunately there is very little commercial development so you can't even grab a coffee.

Calgary has one of the best pathways systems of any major city. As a runner who has trained for a number of marathons, I really appreciate the variety of pathways around the city. The city does an excellent job of keeping these pathways clear all winter long so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Well, I live in Calgary and I absolutely love it. I have traveled quite a bit and there is just nothing like Calgary in my opinion. Its gorgeous pathways differ in scenery and will take you absolutely anywhere within the city and other provincial parks.

With hundreds of km of pathways, paved, gravel or dirt, the exploration is endless all over the city. From huge parks with dozens of linked paths, like Fish Creek or Nose Hill, to smaller, treed parks like Griffith Woods, there is something suitable for everyone. I personally lead a Healthy Monday Lunch & Walk EVERY Monday, and start from various... More
