Swash buckling, loud, funny at times, good costumes, but boring backdrop and the play seemed to drag on. Actors mixed the old with modern day vocabulary including use of some props (red squeeze ball was funny at first, but over used during the play). Interesting twist on the Three Musketeers. Lots of sword fighting.

This is Canada's only theatre company dedicated to the mystery genre. They have great shows, with professional sets, sound, and lighting. We have been to four productions and have found that the stories keep you interested and the actors do an amazing job. Everything is good about this live theatre experience ... we look forward to each new one we... More

The play was twice as long as it should have been. It failed as a mystery and even as a comedy. However the costume changes were good The set changes effectively good One could envision what Havana could have been. Save your money

I have attended a number of Vertigo's productions and never been disappointed. The latest was Wait Until Dark. I was the woman whose hands flew in front of her face accompanied by the startled gasps of the audience during a dark, nail biting scene.

I got to see Wait Until Dark this evening and it was such a nice production. The place itself was very nice. I'm a very hippy girl and the seats were just fine, I wasn't uncomfortable or anything. I purchased some snacks and were decently priced. It was a great experience. If I lived here, this would definitely be somewhere... More

I always enjoy the theatre performances at vertigo. The presentation The Hollow, amazing actors, the set was incredible. It was revising with a delightful twist at the end. Being a mystery, I don't want to reveal to much,The play as been extended. All of the many characters are delightfully eccentric. The actors, as usual, pull every bit of nuance out... More

The thrill of searching for a murderer and solving the case lures the viewer into the plot. With detailed sets, beautifully lit stage scenes and exemplary actors each play is a masterpiece. There are no bad seats in the house and the London bar service makes intermission a delightful break between acts. You must go!

The plays are usually very good, and The Hollow is exceptionally so. We usually go to the Director's night, which is general seating. Go early to these if you want good seats together. We ended up in the back row, where the view was fine, but legroom is very tight.

Let me preface this review with a quick disclosure, we don't often go to the theatre. Both my wife and I grew up in southern Ontario and spent many afternoons in Stratford where we experienced world class productions with top notch actors so have often been left very cold at other plays. We went to this theatre with a group... More

The Vertigo Theatre mystery series has become a staple for my wife and I over the last 2 years. They have a series of 5 shows that run for several weeks each from September to May. The performances and stage are usually very atmospheric. Often they select classic stories set in the 19th or early 20th century. They may be... More
