I gather this is still a work in progress, but we found it very interesting, especially the room sets which depicted both domestic and military life.

This was a great way to learn more about Canada's early history and we loved the exhibits and got a real feel for those pioneers way of life

Was interesting view of past Calgary and we learnt about treaty 7. I can see some ages getting a little bored, but they have done a good job! The displays give a nice idea of life in past times.

This is a compact museum / experience centre, only if you would like to know more about Calgary. The displays are neat and creative and have loads of information accompanying them. A lot of effort has been taken to re-create the past, evident in the...More

Hi there, Thank you so much for visiting us yesterday. We are very exciting to begin renovations and tell even more complex and layered stories. We hope to see you again soon!

Visiting the Fort provided us with pictures, artifacts and quotes that helped give background on the birth of that city, who was involved, how Calgary got its name and the impact to the Indigenous people even today.

If it's a work in progress and there are disruptions for weddings, why not inform the visitors before we pay? Check out Fort Langley in greater Vancouver and you'll tour a actual fort.

The red serge is a ceremonial uniform and so we only see the Mounties dressed this way on special occasions. Fort Calgary is an historic site and interpretive museum with no resident serving Mounties.
