Worth a visit

Even if you don't stay here if you visit the lake have a wander around or stay for tea or a snack. Or if your lucky spend a night or two with a view of the lake.

The dining and tea rooms of this very grand hotel have great views of the lake. However, meals here are very expensive. The hotel does have a coffee shop with some good snacks.

Ultimate mountain lake location! This is a full facility Hotel. Quite a variety of rooms. Several food and beverage locations to enjoy. Great retail services and a fully stocked \photo shop. Reception outside was excellent upon arrival--reception desk a bit dry. Valet service very attentive. This Hotel certainly adheres to the Fairmont reputation. Location-Location-Location!

My husband and I are continuing a Canadian Rockies visit staying at another wonderful Fairmont historic hotel. Be sure to join the President's club first to get extra perks, including discounted rooms and free high speed internet. Also if available room upgrades. We had a large one bedroom suite facing the lake. Suites at this Fairmont location include breakfast each... More

Stunning setting and hotel but overrated. We stayed there as part of a package tour for the Rocky Mountain Explorer. Perhaps the early spring season was the problem as the hotel seemed to be in transition from winter. The place was still full but seemed to be operating at a reduced level. Some restaurants were closed and the rest were... More

I would need to get the thesaurus out to get enough superlatives to describe this hotel. The service from the first point of contact to checking out could not have been better. The facilities were first rate and the view from our room cannot be properly described in text. The best Motel I have ever stayed at !!!
