The Lake Louise Gondola is too far from Lake Louise. You can still see Lake Louise from a distance, but unless you have binoculars, the lake doesn't look like much to the naked eye. However, with a telephoto lens, it still makes for a nice...More

There was a choice here of enclosed gondola or open chairlift. Glad we took the enclosed gondola as the stops caused the chairlifts to sway! The emerging view as we ascended the mountain was beautiful. We were very fortunate to be there on a particularly...More

We chose the open ski lift to the top. Not quite as comfortable when it started snowing but it was very peaceful. The views at the lookout at the top were amazing. Didn't see any animals, but enjoyed the ride. The breakfast buffet at the...More

After all the other crowds and lineups I encountered in Lake Louise - I decided to wake up early and be the first person in line at the Gondola (chair lift on a ski hill, or small 4 person sized gondola). I was the first...More

I took the ride and the breakfast package. Breakfast was good, nice variety. After that, we took a chair in the lift to climb the mountain, stunning travel despite the low rain at that moment. Sightseeing of the mountains was really nice. The rain cleaned...More

LOVED the open-air ride up the mountain, with a few brief halts along the way that gave us time to swing our legs in the air and do some 360° gawking. Did a little hiking at the chair lift terminus, then walked to the hillside...More

Was visiting during all the fires which made for very low visibility. Decided to try our luck and take the chairlift to get a glimpse of a bear but no luck. Was not worth the price for no view and no Bears.
