I went up the gondola hoping to get a good view of Lake Louise and the Bow River Valley. And there certainly is a good view; however, there is not much else to do. There is a wildlife center with stuffed animals and a hiking...More

Gondola ride takes 30 minutes to & fro from the base point. It’s very amusing journey over Snow clad Canadian Rockies. Ticket cost is just C$ 36. Gondola ride is a very safe and well managed by an operating agency. Staff is very virtuous.

This was definitely a trip highlight - as the views from up there are amazing. There's also a short trail to a nature center so a little more to do than just take pictures.

We were not told that the ride did not go to the top of the mountain. There was only a viewing platform and a short walk. The view was great but there were no facilities at all at the drop off. I assume the gondola...More
