Be sure to hike up onto the rock pathway in order to see the entire splendor of this lake. You can also canoe out onto it from down below

This is a beautiful peaceful lake, a few less crowded then Lake Louise but well worth a stop and walk around

What a stunning place. We think it is slightly better than Lake Louise. We just made the last parking space, so try and get here early in the day, parking is at a premium. Absolutely beautiful.

Fun day trip to hike by a beautiful mountain lake. Recommend reading up about the lake before you visit so as to fully understand this unique place and historic significance.

Get there early to get a spot in the parking lot and to avoid crowds on the trails. It's worth getting up early to get there by 8:30 AM. It's unbelievably gorgeous---blue/green water and water so clear and smooth it's like a mirror.

This lake is as wonderful as the other 4,000+ reviews say it is and deserves it's top spot on the "Things To Do" list. We were lucky enough get parking the first time we visited, around 5:30pm on a Thursday. The second attempt was to...More

One of the prettiest places I've ever seen. Went there on a Saturday but the Kayak/canoe rental place was closed. So if you wanna kayak/canoe, check before you go. Not a lot of parking. Have to park at the overflow parking on route 1, which...More

It took 3 tries to get to Moraine Lake, the road was closed due to crowds. We ended up taking a Parks Canada school bus from the overflow lot our last morning. A hour each way, but the view from the top of the short...More

We visited many lakes during our road trip to Banff and Yoho national parks. Lake Louise, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, Emerald Lake among others. But Moraine Lake takes the cake. There is no way to describe the breathtaking beauty of this place. It's something that...More

Moraine Lake is stunning, even in the rain which we unfortunately had when we visited. Parking is limited so get there early or go later in the afternoon. Several trails in the area offer excellent views and are not too strenuous. The only downside is...More

Did not see any cruises on Lake Moraine. A canoe might be more practical as its a fairly small lake compared to Lake Louise for example.

In all likelihood you are confusing the two 'M' lakes, Moraine & Maligne (near Jasper), or possibly a third 'M' lake, Minnewanka (nearer to the town of Bannf). Minnewanka & Maligne both have cruises, but Moraine does not... More

Yes, no problem! It's not that hard to paddle around, you'll have enough time to see the lake.
