Peyto Lake is on the main highway to Jasper. The turnout is on the left side of the road if you are coming from Lake Louise. There is a carpark and the 15 minute walk starts from there. It is a little steep in some parts but relatively easy and the views at the end are so worth it. We... More

Love the color of the water and the shape of the lake. We don't know how to access the lake shore. Basically we overlooked it from the view point. Watch for the huge mosquito there, better use some repellent.

I don't know which Lake is more beautiful, Peyto, Louise, Morraine or Emerald.( and many more) God went crazy with His paintbrush when He made the Canadian Rockies.

Peyto Lake is absolutely stunning and should be on the top 10 of your visit list if you are in the Banff area.

Small hike from the parking lot. Uphill hike for about 10mins. Did it when it was packed with fresh powder but still managed somehow. Definitely would recommend as the view is simply stunning, one of a kind.

During our visit to the area we decided to drive up the Ice Park Highway to go and look at this Lake....SO glad we did as not only was the view of the lake amazing but the journey was just incredible as well. We parked up the car and then you have a short walk along a tarmac path which... More

One of my favorite lakes to see. The hike is a little much if you are not used to altitude like myself but it's nice and short. The views are so worth it.

Go by the Lake! It is a 10 minute hike from the parking lot. You have to do a small hike up a hill and down a little. Once you get there. The view is amazing. You can hop the fence to get a better picture view of the wolf head view!

Peyto Lake is a beautiful mountain lake on the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper. It's about a 15 minute hike to the lake with some challenging inclines, but worth it if you can make it.

One of my favourite lake at banff national park. Anybody can view this lake without hassle as the viewpoint is build on top of mountain above the lake. As some of other lakes, one need to hike few miles to view the beauty of the whole lake. Peyto lake is a must-visit.
