This bar was recommended to us as it was our first day up the mountain. Helpful staff good beer, good views and decent filling food!

From a European perspective, the skiing in Canada is glorious but the mountain restaurants are deeply disappointing - soulless canteens. Mad Trapper's is the exception to this rule - it's cosy, atmospheric and fun. We ate here every day we skiied at Sunshine. The portions are huge and the food is very tasty, the staff work incredibly hard but remain... More

The food just keeps getting worse every time we come. The wings used to be amazing a few years back and now they are greasy and fatty. I ordered my usual favourite pulled pork and was hugely disappointed, dry chunks of pork with absolutely no BBQ sauce to be found! I can't even get a side Caesar with my meal.... More

The gondola closes at 5pm and we stayed on the hill so dining choices were limited. The menu is overpriced pub food with horrible service. Forgotten orders, no utensils even after we asked for it, didn't check if we wanted any additional drinks when we had empty glasses. The most attention we got was when I'm paying, I suppose to... Good food and generous portions, you can't go bad with that! My pulled pork sandwich and my husband's burger was perrrrrfect; juicy, tasty with the breaded pickle on the top. Really liked all the old decorations; pictures, skates, even old $5 bill, it has a lot of charm.

We could smell the delicious aroma of fries coming down on the Standish chairlift. They tasted just as good as they smelled! We had burger and fish and chips, both of which were excellent. We overhead people at the next table saying the poutine was the best they'd ever had. The service was friendly and fast. It was a treat... More

Came in here for some lunch while skiing at Sunshine, I got the smoked meat sandwich and my father got the chicken wings. I have to say that this is one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time... It's overpriced but that's to be expected when it's right on the hill up the gondola. The food... More

You know when you write on your menu "Montreal smoke meat sandwich" you expect to have either meat from Montreal or an authentic Smoke meat made here that would maybe not be as good as the real thing but surely won't be the corned beef crap you served me. I even asked the waitress before ordering if it was the... More
