This is one of those awe inspiring experiences that is a worthwhile to visit if never seen. We take all of our out of province guests to this spot in the town of Banff and near the Banff Springs Hotel.

Went during the winter. Saw pictures of how it looked during the summer. It is different. Theven frozen atmosphere creates a different scenic atmosphere that fits with different people. If you are into the frozen world/hostile terrain atmosphere, it is better to visit during the winter. If you like the liviness then the summer is for you. The walk is... More

Even in freezing temps, this walk to Bow Falls is a must do while in Banff. Some people were actually walking out on the frozen river.

The day after the fantastic 2016 Banff Craft Beer Festival, I spent all but around 3 hours of my day in bed with a terrible, terrible hangover. Roughly 1.5 of those hours was spent attempting to clear my head by making the 7km return walk from my hotel to Bow Falls. This wasn't my only visit to the falls while... More

We visited as part of a tour. The falls were frozen when we visited and completely snow covered so we couldn't see much of it. Nice area beside the river which I think would be a great place to visit with less snow.

Stunning. Picture perfect skylines, beautiful landscapes, a truly untouched piece of heaven. Everywhere you looked, it was just outstanding. Can't fault it one bit, definitely recommended!

Bow Falls is more than just the falls--it's also the Bow River, which you can follow via a couple of different trails. This area was so beautiful--it was one of my favorite places in Banff. The trail going towards downtown Banff has stairs and can be steep, so it may not be the best for small children or those with... More

When we drove down to the falls, they were completely snow covered so you couldn't even really tell they were falls. A little disappointing but Mother Nature was in control. Would love to go back in the spring when they are flowing.
