Winter sleigh-ride was cold, but fun.

We did a winter sleigh-ride in January 2017. It was very cold out, but we were dressed appropriately and they had plenty of blankets for everyone. It was cloudy so we didn't get... read more

We have never been on a sleigh ride before, so when we got tickets for Christmas, we finally got our chance. Because of icy roads, we were late for our scheduled time, but were told that we could catch the next time. The ride itself, goes in behind the Vermilion Lakes, and winds around a meadow near the stables. While... More

What a relaxing and secluded place to kick back in front of the crackling wood stove after a 16km cross-country ski (or 10km from the alternate trailhead). My partner and I spent one night at Sundance Lodge for a special birthday. Meals were superb - fresh baked cookies on arrival, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for dinner, full breakfast with... Our trail guide was very knowledgeable about the wild life and the Bow Valley; he continued to give us information; along with a great sense of humour throughout our ride. It was a fun day with beautiful scenery and the blankets they had kept us warm!

Not too impressed. We arrived early (as it stated in the confirmation since they stick to a strict schedule). When we arrived, there was nobody there and no directions. A few others showed up and they wandered around as well. Someone came out a (farther) building, and put them into a private sleigh. We were led into a barn where... More

Reading about the sleigh ride tours before going to Banff sounded like a nice romantic trip for myself and my partner. However, it wasn't quite as we anticipated. The tour was a last minute thing. I unfortunately fractured my collarbone snow boarding and had to make other plans. It was just about more fun than throwing myself down that mountain.... More

We did a winter sleigh-ride in January 2017. It was very cold out, but we were dressed appropriately and they had plenty of blankets for everyone. It was cloudy so we didn't get the spectacular views we were hoping for - but we did get some good looks and took plenty of pictures. Mike was our cowboy/guide and did a... More

We took our sleigh ride as a family on Christmas Day. Such a great experience. Staff are very friendly with knowledgeable tour guides. The whole experience was well organized and enjoyable. They have a bonfire with marshmallows , hot chocolate and hot apple cider after the ride, which is a nice way to warm up afterwards. Highly recommend this experience,... More

Been here once before. We booked a sleigh ride but had to do a wagon ride due to lack of snow. The 2 guides were great lots of stories and laughter. Love this place and planning on doing a trail ride for a few days with these guys next year. Cant recall the guys names but both amazing we went... More

The Hubbs and I booked a 1 hour ride last minute (I booked it the night before after reading about it in a brochure) and the only regret we had was that we didn't book the 2 hour ride! It was fantastic and we will 100% be coming back! We plan on doing a few different tours and can't wait.... More

I wasn't expecting the wagon ride and BBQ to be as good as it was, but I would recommend the experience. It started off rather scarily with the automated barrier coming down on the horses, but the drivers was experienced and it didn't affect our overall enjoyment. In the woods we were taught roping and horse-shoe throwing while we awaited... More
