Delightful high tea

The hotel is gorgeous. The high tea was delicious with lovely panoramic views. Gluten free was not a problem which surprised me for high tea.

We enjoyed the free tour. We got to the area right above the front desk on M1 a little before the tour started to look at the old photos and items on display. The guide pointed out several highlights and common factoids about the Hotel, but also added some color to the Tour and chimed in about several of the... More

Tour is well worth the time. It is usually between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. It is an easy walk from downtown Banff. You will hear lots of history and ghost stories. The view from the hotel is awesome!! Do not miss this if you are in Banff.

This Hotel was built and rebuilt many times going back to the 1880's. The front with it's lighter colored stone is the newest portion. Some if the meeting rooms reminds me if being in an old English castle. Something different at each turn and section.

Lovely to see this piece of history and read about the development of the railroad and the town of Banff. A quote that stuck is " Since we can't export the scenery we'll have to import the tourists". Obviously they have done a fine job of that! This is actually a self-guided tour with many interesting facts and artifacts.

We did not do the tour and I couldn't get the hotel to come up by itself. What a beautiful hotel. We had gone to the Bow Falls and walked up the hill to the hotel. Decided we should eat there and went to the Grille for breakfast. We were there Sunday AM and got in for Brunch. Got a... More

I thought it was going to be a tour of the property and kind of a "what to do." Instead it was the history of the hotel and a mini-tour. The guide was entertaining. Would be better if the pictures he showed was a slide show instead.

All though we only had time for a shortened version we had a very informative speaker (Tony?). I learned more about the hotel and got to see some rooms that I probably would not have wandered into. Thanks for the tour.

As we were driving towards the Historical Banff Springs Hotel my excitement was growing. I had been here before but my husband and group of clients I was with hadn't so they didn't know what to expect: other than what they had seen in pictures of this majestic hotel. We rounded the final bend in the road and the gasp... More
