This was highly rated by our friends, so we wanted to hike it. The views as you walk up were stunning. And seeing the glacier at the top is great! TIP: We thought the views from the top were better from he LEFT side (closer)...More

The switchbacks make it easier - just allow yourself plenty of time and go for it. The view of the ice fields and glacier at the top is breathtaking and we found a place to sit and enjoy our lunch. Once you feel you're at...More

Short but sharp 5.4km round trip with 250m of elevation. About two hours if you're reasonably fit (I'm 64)

A must-do hike for anyone traveling along the Columbia Icefields Parkway. The trail is straightforward and easy to navigate. Depending on one's hiking experience, it would be easy to moderate. After 2.5K of moderate elevation gain, one is rewarded with expansive views of Saskatchewan Glacier....More

this is a great stop, an easy hike up to the ridge where you can view the Saskatchewan glacier below, and tons of amazing scenery in every direction. Lots of wildflowers in "spring".

This is definitely a gem of a hike. It is a 3-4 miles roundtrip with moderate elevation gain. The hike has multiple switchbacks in the beginning but the elevation gain is slow making it an easy hike. Once you reach the top, don't give up,...More

This hike is a little steep and it is windy at the summit. You can take a shortcut to the right just past the summit's 2 posts and see the glacier and river.

I didn't see anything. And there were a lot of people using the trail. I didn't have bear spray with me either.

It's about 180km from downtown Banff to the Parker Ridge trailhead. The official speed limit is 90km on that section of road, so depending on how you drive, it should take you at most two hours to get there if you don't make... More

It took us about 3 hours but that was with a stop to see Peyto lake. Also not something to be missed.
