Especially as it's one of the few things you can do that isn't going to cost you anything Very informative to learn how the national parks all started and how the growth of Banff is linked to this cave. Very well done in showing how...More

Did not find this place very inspiring or interesting. My wife was even less enchanted!!! None of my companions on our tour seemed excited either.

Although not a mass of things to do here, it's history, position, and informative displays are worth putting in the itinerary whilst in Banff.. Admission was free this year due to '150' celebrations,

We visited early in the morning before the crowds got there, it was peaceful and relaxing looking at all the exhibits and getting a feel for how our pioneers enjoyed their free time.

We enjoyed our hike around the marsh by the river. It was peaceful and had beautiful views of the mountains and water. What detracted from our experience was recent rain that made the trail very muddy. The other problem was the several groups of horses...More

This was a seemingly small historic site with interesting facts about the springs, yet we were there about an hour. We walked along the boardwalk through the area where the springs bubble up and head down to the basin. Lots of interesting facts about the...More

That depends on what you want to do. The museum part takes about an hour going slowly. The trail takes a good 2 hours going at a brisk pace.

Actually, we got in for free!! Here's a link that speaks to Canada's 150th anniversary for their national parks. We showed the pass at Cave and Basin and were waved through. I should have said that in the review but I... More
