My family made the relatively short drive along Tunnel Mountain Road in hopes of seeing wildlife (we saw two mule deer) and beautiful scenery. We were not disappointed with Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka. We were disappointed because the road to Johnston Lake was closed and the boat tours on Minnewanka were closed for the season, but the scenery... More

The road connect the freeway to the downtown and is an alternate route which is beautiful, great vista points and serene.

Exactly as described, a Scenic Drive with some nice views and pullouts for further viewing. As with any other scenic drive, for the most part the scenic part is left to the passengers rather than the driver. But it is worth it to spent an hour on this drive.

This drive covers a lot of stuff in a small amount of time. The best views of Bow Falls….saves you going to the other side. The view at the end looking back to tunnel mountain is great. A good car journey

This is a lovely scenic drive that you pick up right in Banff, stopping at Surprise Corner with a great view of the Banff Springs Hotel and Bow Falls below you. There is a nice little pull off on the left just past the Arts Center that offers a picture postcard view of Banff spread out below you. Definitely stop... More

We all thought this was an excellent time filler before dinner. There are a couple of good view points (specially for people who are interested in CP hotels), and it doesn't take too long. A great alternative to the overcrowded, overpriced shopping mile downtown.

This was a pretty drive as we were leaving Banff. Little areas to pull off and hiking trails. I thought the scenery was nice. Nice way to get away from the city and see some of the landscape.

Short drive with nice views to the Fairmont Hotel and the city. Start from the crossing between the Banff Avenue and Buffalo St, then drive approximately 2.3 Km until you reach a small parking area, close to the Tunnel Mountain trail head. The second half of the drive doesn't add much, so I suggest turning back.

Maybe it was not a good day for this drive, I did not find this drive interesting. I would skip this drive and go shopping in the avenue.
