Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Got a car, well worth a drive. There is a stop off point that intersects the walking path where you can get a birds eye view of Banff. But as others have said, no tunnel, its a scenic drive.

It was a nice scenic drive but don't keep driving trying to find the tunnel that doesn't exist. Nice waterfall hike along the way.

Long road through the mountains and a trees. All very pretty. There are a number of viewpoints along the way, well worth the time to drive along it. It took us about 20 minutes, excluding stops

Our bus driver timed our visit to Spiral Tunnels perfectly as we waited less than 5 minutes to a vey long freight train start to weave in and out of the Spiral tunnels

Our first mountain climb. For two regular Joe's this wasn't exactly a walk in the park but we did it and we loved it when it was over. Going up is harder than coming down. Makes me want to find another to climb!

Very scenic. Lovely area, there is a spot to stop to see the Hoodoos. The path to see the Hoodoos also allowed wheelchairs which I thought this was pretty good as you hardly see areas for wheelchairs. Great spot to take pictures.

Not a long drive but there are quite a few view points with some stunning scenery. The total time will depend very much in how long you stop to soak up the view. There are also a few short walks from the view points as well so this will add some time if you choose to go down that path.

Is there a map of this drive and where to stop?
Written 7 May 2016
Or... you can just drive along it slowly. Most of the spots are well marked. The speed limit is fairly low, and most people in Banff are not in a hurry, so taking a slow drive won't aggravate too many.
This is a quote from the Banff township site, "This is a scenic route to drive around. You can take Buffalo Street to go to Surprise corner and keep going to the top of the hill. There is a viewpoint on your left where you can see town of Banff. Keep going North, once you get to the junction you can take a left to get back to the town or turn right to go towards the Hoodoos. After the Hoodoos, keep going and you will end up at a “T” junction, take a left to get on Banff Ave which takes you back to town."
Thats about it. The hoodoos are really cool, and the view from there is spectacular; it gives a great view of the Bow River and the Banff Springs Hotel from the back.
