So glad we made the stop at Vermillion Lakes. We saw elk as we entered the road. Lots of cyclists enjoying the road to the lakes. Loved the photo opportunities despite the smoke from the wildfires with the mirror reflection of the surrounding mountains.

Vermillion Lakes is a beautiful spot to go for a quiet walk or bike ride. Lots of different birds and places to stop and sit for a few minutes.

These lakes are one of the few wetlands in the Rockies and are the beautiful green color of other lakes and rivers in the area. Lovely easy flat path all along the lake areas.

Nice lakes, but getting choked with aquatic plants. The view of the mountains across the water would be nice if not for all the mosquitoes. Worth the short drive from town, but if you are short on time you can afford to skip this attraction.

The lakes are pretty and easily accessible. You could hike the lake but we chose to hike elsewhere. There were bear warnings on many trails but not near these lakes.

Pop down to the Lakes if you have time during a visit to Banff, if you get lucky you may see a Bear. Great views of Mount Rundle.

Yes, You can have dinner at the restaurant in the Juniper Hotel. It is situated on the lower slopes of Mount Norquay and the dinning room has an excellent view of Vermillion Lakes.
