This is a beautiful lake and we stopped at places of the beaten track and just sat and watched the world go by. Very peaceful and again stunning views and scenery.

We went early one morning and enjoyed being one of the only people around. Serine and calm, the view out into the water was breath taking. We enjoyed a short walk around the lake and the big deck chairs for a photo op!

Just a short drive out of Banff Lake Minnewanka is well worth a visit. Coffee shop and large car park. Great walks. We drove the loop - beautiful red deer on route.

Check the weather forecast during your trip first as they are quite accurate . I would suggest layers , proper rain or wet gear . Do keep warmer clothes and gloves for higher altitude activities . Cheers

I would look into the gondola or a view from a height. The lake is beautiful but surrounded by mountains so I don't think it would be my first choice. Try to get some elavation.
