It’s difficult to put into words how stunning this experience is. We opted to walk up the mountain (estimated 2hrs) and return on the Gondola. The walk zig-zags its way up Sulphur Mountain, which is brilliant, means the Climb doesn’t become overly steep at any...More

Its a bit expensive at C$62.person but if you are visiting Banff for the first time(or might even be your last), why not try the gondola. You will get a good view of all the mountains in the Rockies.

It was a gorgeous day and there were a lot of people out. The lines moved pretty quickly. Each car had 4 people. The ride up the mountain was smooth and the views were great.

It had snowed very recently so was a little icy on the long walkway at the top, but definitely worth walking around for the fantastic views. We arrived very early (so no queues) and spent most of the morning at the top. It's a must...More

Took the gondola ride up to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. However did not make the climb up to the Summit Upper Trminal (@2280 meters) due to limited time spent. The view from the Summit Mountain was nice but not great, short off one notch...More

Our first day in Banff we headed for the Gondola but given the queues we decided to hike to the Sulphur Mountain summit rather than pay the $64 (each!) return trip price on the cable car, which we felt was a bit expensive. Given that...More
