We visited this spot on Sat 8 Feb. It was very very busy with car parking a lottery or a very long walk back if parking out on the main road. The lower and upper falls are well worth doing. The walk was spoiled for...More

This is a great walking experience. Try to get there reasonably early as the good size carpark does get full quickly. The path running along the canyon can be busy at times but is well maintained and easy to navigate. Both the main falls are...More

Recommend taking this 4km hike to the upper Falls. Not difficult going for the most part. One or two places are a bit steep. The gangways are really sturdy so don’t be afraid and the views are worth it

This park continues to throw up little-publicised delights. This canyon is one of them. We only walked up to the lower falls, about three quarters of a mile of easy tarmac walking, but were not disappointed. The walk often hangs off the side of this...More

We hiked to the Ink Pots recently and really enjoyed the Lower Falls, Upper Falls and of course the Ink Pots. Most of all I enjoyed the wide valley surrounded by mountains at the Ink Pots.

Johnston Canyon is, of course, beautiful, with a good mix of elevated boardwalks and paved paths... but it can be unbearably crowded. Going early is a necessity if you want to park and not wait in line to walk down narrow sections of the path,...More

Incredibly beautiful and well maintained, this hike accommodates those who would only want to take an hour on an easy trail, to a little more challenging to go to the upper falls where you can view a "living wall" , to those who would like...More

Yes this was crowded but where in Banff is not crowded during the season? We really enjoyed this walk a great deal. The path is paved all the way which makes it accessible to folks of all ages. [Maybe that's why so many people come...More
