A while since i last visited this amazing coastline. The lovely harbour with the fishing boats and lobster pots stacked up. St. John's church is a great place to reflect a lovely fisherman's church . Take a stroll to West beach the setting for ITV's Broadchurch the access is not suitable for the disabled as it's very loose small stones... More

Another of my local beaches & I visit as often as possible. Sandy and great for reasonably long walks. As with all West Dorset beaches it gets very busy from Easter to October. Stay away from cliffs - landfalls are common on the Jurassic coastline and they can happen quickly. Great cafe on the beach too - see my comments... More

As usual the cafe was busy and under the new system we had to wait to be seated which is fine except there were a lot of free tables and it was very slow getting us seated. Lack of staff or lack of organisation I'm not sure. Coffee and scone were lovely and the staff were friendly if slightly disorganised.... More

Have visited a few times and is a must when in the area. Beach never really gets overcrowded and there has always been plenty of parking or we have walked along the beach from Freshwater holiday park, depending on the weather and tide times. There is a café with toilets so all your needs are catered for. Beach is quite... More

Our favourite local beach. Stunning views with the cliffs behind. Excellent place to visit especially with the Hive Cafe nearby.

Enjoyed a walk along the beach and over the coastal path between Burton Bradstock and West Bay. Thoroughly recommend it. The colour of the cliffs against a blue sky are sensational.

Fantastic beach winter or summer - we prefer winter when we can take the dog, fossil hunt and watch the waves.

A splendid place to relax, throughout the year. We have been visiting this beach for decades, and have seen very little change, other than the erosion of the cliffs..

What a fabulous place to feel close to heaven but stood on earth. It was sunny but cold when I walked onto Hive Beach with the thunder of crashing waves in my ears, I stood in awe staring at the sea but feeling great to be alive.

We were on holiday in Dorset and arrived in the late afternoon as the beach was beginning to clear. It's a lovely beach to walk on, you get a great view of the golden cliffs.
