Enjoy a trip on our mile length of line on the original Colne Valley and Halstead Railway. Re-located buildings, signal boxes etc., all lovingly restored by volunteers. Mixture of steam and diesel operating days, miniature 7 1/4" railway, garden...more
My sister and I bought my dad the steam train driving experience for his 70th birthday. He had a wonderful day. We all went along to watch and the kids enjoyed looking at the garden miniature railway and riding on the diesel train. My dad...More
Sunday lunch railway trip booked for my father-in-law. We entered the train at 12.30 & came away at 4.30pm. The food was good, service needed a little improvement, but I understand this is early days for this new venture at colne valley.
Having recently visited with our son who has a disability we found the visit good value for money with plenty of interesting things to do, in general the staff were great and very helpful, this was really let down by the chap in the signal...More
A fabulous place that needs public support to keep up their improvements. Helpful, interesting and friendly volunteers run this piece of local history. Please visit when you can. Take time to ask and you'll be surprised by the enthusiasm and interesting responses you'll get!

There are usually both full size and miniature trains to ride on, although the miniature railway cannot run if it is raining. There are also interactive model and garden railways, plus many other attractions.
