3.9.2020 An absolute, disgusting disaster. Thousands of people huddled together, covid not covid, shallow water crowded with human sea lions, noise, hundreds and hundreds of cars in crowded parking lots. We ran away after half an hour. I. CZ

We found our way to Elafonissi beach and it was worth it. Although it was the end of the season and we had several thunderstorms in days before the beach was amazing. Yes the top sand really is pink! There are lots of sunloungers all well kept, and a few little snack bars. But trust me you go for the view which is stunning you could be in the Caribbean. …

Greeb beaches are definitely enjoying a Renessaisance after the Covid19 pandemic has redirected many a European flight from more exotic locations such as Thailand, the Carribean or the Maledives to the European shores. And while the flight is significantly shorter, does it not have to mean a degrade in the quality or beauty of beaches available. Elafonissi Beach ranks among the best of them and offers beautiful days in the sun to up until late October. Why **** and 5 stars you ask - because the facilities (parking, shops, hygienic) are really outdated and not up to standard. Further investments would be a welcome addition to this spectacular beach.…

Absolutely stunning colour of the sea. So dar the best place we have visited in Crete. Altough I would recommend bringing your own food with you as there are only 2 small shops and both of them ran out of food at midday...
