There is nothing doubt this 'cave of poems' is stunningly beautiful, but if you want to swim it's difficult to get in and out (unless there are locals there at the time).

This place is something really unique so definitely worth a visit if in Puglia. Usually it is overcrowded with people but you can still take some pictures and a dive in the turquoise waters.

A beautiful Grotta. You just want to jump off the cliff into the refreshing, crystal clear water. Not too busy, especially in September.

A must-do if you're in the Salento with a few adventurous types e.g. teenage daredevils. If you're brave enough, you can jump off a 30 foot high cliff into the sea, for those less foolhardy, you can jump from around 15 feet into the central...More

Great natural beauty also included in the top10 list of National Geographic. If you are in the area, it is a must-go attraction, especially in the summer do not miss to jump in. No umbrellas or sunbeds available, be aware!

I've been there on several occasions hoping to swim in the grotta, but it's dominated by middle aged teenagers smoking grass and showing off, tomb stoning into the grotta. Meanwhile the actual area where it could be possible to swim is being bombarded by these...More

There are no signs, but just a few hundred meters south of Rocca Vecchia is Grotta Della Poesia, of the world's best natural pools. The turquoise water is crystal clear. It would be amazing to jump in from the rocks surrounding the pool. I can...More

Yep, do not park on the road! No matter how many cars there are parked! You will get a ticket! When we got there, there car-park was full. But then - we were there in August.

for what I know, there is no bus that specifically stops there.. you need to walk a little from San Foca or other beaches nearby.
