Don't waste time going to Puerto Angelito/Manzanillo - just go to Playa Carrizalillo if you want to swim. There are a TON of boats here, and you are apparently supposed to just swim in between them. There is garbage in the water, dead fish on shore, and green algae...or something...all over the place. There's also a bunch of restuarant owners... More

I hire a taxi to take me to the beach rather than walk down the the loads of tourist buses. I also arrived early to beat the bulk of tourists who come from all over. It was a hot day and still school holidays so it was busy. it was definietly worth going though and enjoyed the sights and sounds... More

Puerto Angelito is itself not a great beach but just walk 3 minutes to Puerto Manzanillo is much better Angelito has too many boats in and out and on the weekends is very crowded. Manzanillo, part of the same cove is very nice especially during the weekdays. And has very few boats coming in and letting people off/on

This beach is dirty. There is a roped off for swimmers but there are constantly boats going into the area without warning. Just walking down the beach makes you feel nasty.

This beach gets crowded with local tourists, so if you want privacy, go somewhere else. The water is better for swimming than at Playa Principal, and there are several restaurants that provide beach umbrellas, lounge chairs, and tables for you to camp out all day and enjoy food and drink at the beach.

I enjoyed visiting Puerto Angelito for beach and snorking during a trip to Puerto Escondido. Waves and undertow are not as bad as Zicatela beach so you can actually get in and enjoy the water. Gorgeous spot!

Locals and tourist frequent this location. Tour buses drop off the tourist and they spend time at the beach. Lined with local vendors and fast food shops you are able to buy artifacts and trinkets hats and souvenirs. On the beach you can be served with seating, drinks, food and other amenities. The water was not so clean mixed with... More

Awesome beach - good eats - really fine place to relax, swim and enjoy life. There are a variety of places to get an umbrella and chairs. Take your pick, you won't be disappointed.
