Spectators may just follow the surf action in one of the most spectacular surf spots in North America. Wave height varies with the seasons, best in Summer! Check youtube or similar for a first impression.

We have loved the beach especially after 4 o clock is so charming and not to busy! There are a few beach bars were you can grab a drink and watch the sunset! It is really worth the stay!

Playa Zicatella is just one beach of 4 in Puerto Escondido. It is the main surfing beach (mican pipeline) not a fishing beach. I have never seen any violence in Puerto Escondido and have been going there for over 20 years
