Oasis of serenity. This place is so beautiful and so peaceful it's unreal. Me and my partner did a 3 hour tour with another couple we met at the ticket counter (it was 4 people per boat) decided on tour 3 and off we went. We spotted fish, all different kinds of birds and even some mountain goats. Stopped in various pagodas and rowed through a super long and dark cave. It was one of my favourite days while backpacking Vietnam (we did the Mua Caves in the am) and so if you ever visiting Ninh Binh you should definitely do this, you will not be disappointed.…

Incredibly landscapes, the boat tour takes approx. 2.5 hours - a bit long but totally worth it. There are 03 routes and we took the 02nd with more nature cave.

Breathtakingly beautiful. Serene and tranquil. The stories these caves and karsts could tell. Very ancient and humbling. Our guide was very patient with my clumsy-ness getting in and out of the boat but I guess they see all sorts of people. We did tour 1 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The boat lady did NOT ask for a tip however we gave her some extra because we had such a lovely time. It was a rainy and foggy day but we are glad it wasn’t hot.…

We visited during Lunar new year period in Vietnam. It was the old capital of Vietnam before it was moved to current Hanoi. Its quite easy to get there, less than 2h drive away from Hanoi. We arrived around 9ish in the morning. Expected a huge crowd but it was actually quiet, just stroll around peacefully and enjoyed the clear cold air. Visited the shrines for the kings who originated from here. Quite fascinating stories. Suggest to also take the boat to visit the caves.…

This is one of the most incredibly landscapes in Vietnam - at least on the traditional itineraries. Do take the boat ride through the rivers and caves. And, take the offered stops at the various pagodas. When you get to the ticket booth for the boats, you'll have to select between three itineraries. We picked number one because it goes through 8 caves and to 3 temples. Itinerary two goes to 4 caves and 3 temples and itinerary 3 through 3 caves and 3 temples. They are all evidently the same amount of time (2.5-3 hours). The rowers are amazing. The trip only costs 250,000 dong per person. The rowers won't ask for tips but they will really appreciate them. …
