- LataVDubai, United Arab Emirates395 contributionsWaterfall with SwimmingAmazing waterfall with swimming opportunity. From the parking area there is a walk down a small hillock .some parts of the path are gravelled while most other parts are rough but easy to navigate. The walk is beautiful and passes small streams, bridges and little shops selling boiled and roasted corn, nuts etc. A small changing shack is available to get into your swim gear. A guard is also available to keep a check on swimmers who go towards the specified danger zone. It's definitely a place to visit.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 March 2024
- Michael SSydney, Australia525 contributionsIntro to 1 of Indonesia's Many WaterfallsThis was a good introduction to many of Indonesia's waterfalls. It's quite a sight to see with a bar located at the base of it! This particular waterfall doesn't take much time to visit, but has really great areas to take pictures.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 April 2024
- Nick MFrenchs Forest, Australia1,044 contributionsGreat, touristy, waterfallIt’s a great looking waterfall! However, it’s not the secluded off the beaten track waterfall that the tourists haven’t found yet. 20k entry fee each is reasonable, and the way down and back is good and (fairly) easy. If you want Insta pictures, this is a good spot.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 May 2024
- Noelle OCavite City, Philippines1,475 contributionsMidyear VacationThis is also one of the falls in Bali where you won’t really get tired treking. I told our tour guide that after my stint at Diamond Beach and Tree Hous in Nusa Pernida, i won’t be able to climb mountains anymore. This place is just right for those who want to see places in Bali but don’t want to get muscle pains after. Highly recommended to check out. Nice falls and nice view dor picture taking.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 June 2024
- Damien SAdelaide, Australia7,487 contributionsGreat place for a waterfall walk.Visited today and after 20 hours of continuous rain. It was raging down and nice and brown. The place is busy and the restaurants in the rice paddy’s are a nice place to relax. Enjoyed the walk and same pineapple 🍍 rice after the walk back up the hill. Well worth a visit.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 July 2024
- daniele cMonte San Vito, Italy1,647 contributionsBeautiful waterfalls in beautiful settingAbove all, the context as a whole is striking. A lush nature that embraces and relaxes. The waterfalls are beautiful mainly because they are enclosed in a sort of natural amphitheater. To reach them you have to take a few stairs. Recommended without a doubt.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 August 2024
- Meika M5 contributionsNice cool Waterfall and pool.Lovely Waterfall. The road to get here is a little hairy and in need of repair. It looked like they were repairing some sections when we came through. The carpark is right next to come restaurants. There is a toilet on the way down and change rooms with lockers at the bottom. You can swim in the pool at the base. There is an exclusion zone around the base of the Waterfall where you cannot swim and there is a couple of lifeguards. Nice spot. Just beware, some cardio required to climb the stairs back to the carpark.Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 October 2024
- Miri VMadrid, Spain4,450 contributionsWonderful waterfallWonderful waterfall where we enjoy an amazing swim, even very close to the waterfall. The water was great, refreshing and clean. The descent towards the waterfall is simple and well signposted, making access easier. We went shortly before closing, and the experience was even better because there were not many people, so much so that we got to be completely alone while we were bathing. A spectacular place and highly recommended if you are looking to enjoy nature in a quiet environment.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 October 2024

This is probably the best waterfall I’ve been to in Ubud. The entrance fee is 20k and it’s about a 10 minute walk down to the fall. There are stores and restaurants along the way down just in case you get hungry after. The waterfall has a spacious area to sit and put your bag/belongings down. The water is about hip deep and you can walk towards the actual falls. Don’t get too close tho because the safety guy will blow his whistle at you. The water is nice a cool, not too cold. I recommend going to this waterfall and will definitely be coming back.

Having asked our driver, Happy (Happy Bali Driver on Facebook), for a waterfall where there wouldn’t have be a lot of rigorous hiking or climbing over rocks, he found the perfect place. The Tibumana Hidden Waterfall was a relatively easy hike with some stairs and dirt paths, but not bad for those who aren’t up to rock climbing. The waterfall is breathtaking. Go early in the morning. Not just because it gets so bloody hot in the afternoon, but it also gets crowded. You’ll have fun floating around and staring at spots in the water or behind the water and watching your eyes play tricks on you doing optical illusions on the rock face around the falls. On your way out, stop by the temple on the premises.
They also have little stands that sell fruit and water and soda. There is a fee to get in, but it is well worth it.

Tibumana waterfall is considered as Bali’s best kept secret and one of the most beautiful spots to visit, while for us it was least impressive it still is worth to visit. Water is very dark and not as deep therefore diving is not an option however you can stand directly under the stream of water to ease the stress of the day. We recommend to get there early as later it becomes a very touristic spot and probably that’s why we haven’t felt it’s magic as much.
It’s a 40min Drive from Ubud and entry is 20k IDR. While the waterfall itself wasn’t as breathtaking getting to it was absolutely wonderful. Surrounded by charming villages, endless rice fields and palm trees a short 10min walk through bamboo bridges and stunning greenery will lead you to one of the most popular amongst the locals plunge pool with a cold stream of refreshing water.
Tibumana Waterall is still one to feature on your travel list when in Bali.

The path to the waterfall is easy and “fabricated” for this purpose, namely with two bamboo bridges. The waterfall is beautiful, there is another smaller one right next to it, and another one before reaching it, after the second bamboo bridge. However, the water in the small lake that forms is brownish and uninviting for bathing.

Classic waterfall...straight down and...that’s it. Roughly 12-15 meters high. You can enter the water, but not below the waterfall because of possible rockfall. Not a must seen waterfall but if you pass it the 25k ticket should not stop you from stopping anyway.

A beautiful waterfall which is reached via a fantastic jungle road, you have to cross two bamboo bridges over the flowing river. You can wear a swimsuit and enter the water to take photos, but you are not allowed to approach the waterfall itself. However, it is also possible to take great photos from the shore. The descent takes about 15 minutes, but it is not difficult, you walk in the shade among lush greenery. At the ticket office there are several small restaurants overlooking a small rice field. The ticket costs IDR 20,000, it is not expensive and the view is amazing. Worth a visit

We had not planned for this waterfall when we started our day. Our guide Mr. Kadek, from Bali Golden Tour, suggested this place to us, and it was worth every last penny.
The waterfall is probably one of the easiest to reach, only a 100 easy steps should take you there, down right in front of the waterfall.
The most unique thing about the waterfall is that it falls straight into the ground, no stones or rocks to break the flow.
There are a few good restaurants if you want to take some refreshment on your way to the waterfalls.
Generally less visited, therefore it is very quite and has enough parking spots.
If you want to visit waterfalls, and want to avoid hiking to the falls, this is a must visit place for you.
In fact, you will come across some beautiful balinese villages on the way to the waterfall.

Fresh feeling because the waterfall is very calm and the natural situation is so beautiful around the waterfall. The way to reach this place is by paying a ticket for IDR 15,000, then passing through a temple. After that, go down quite a lot of stairs with a natural situastion that is so calming to the heart with bridges that have been made by the local community to make it easier for tourists to visit here. Other that, when you are thirsty, you can buy a drink along the way before reaching this tibumana waterfall.

Tibumana is not far from Ubud (45 minutes) and worth a visit. There is adequate parking, a small fee for entry, several restaurants and a great experience with about 10 minutes walk from the lot. The path is well-maintained and clean. There are no toilets or changing facilities but it is a lot of fun to experience the waterfall and swim in the modest-depth waters.

Honestly, pretty disappointed in our visit here. While the walk down and waterfall are quite pretty, you are not allowed to go near/under/behind the waterfall, and there is security there to make sure you don’t.
You can swim in the swimming hole but must keep your distance from the fall itself.
My suggestion would be to skip past Tibumana Waterfall and visit Kanto Lampo Falls just around the corner for a much better waterfall experience.

Tibumana or tegenungan ,which one is better?
Written 11 March 2019
Depends on what you want, Tegenungan is more touristy and bigger but Tibumana has less stairs and you are more likely to get a photo without other people

Is the walk down to the waterfall slippery?
Written 2 December 2018
The last time I went there it wasn't slippery at all. I would say that the walk from car park to the waterfall is very easy, probably just 200m. The path is not challenging at all.

We are interested in visiting Tibumana waterfall but are concerned about the walk in......are there steps that we will have to go down to get in and then climb as we leave?
Our interest is in seeing beatutiful scenery and taking a few photos, we would not be wanting to swim.

Planning on stopping here between destinations - is there anywhere near here I can check my baggage to keep it safe while I walk about in my swimsuit?
Written 6 February 2018
Hello,
TIbumana is pretty safe but there's no locker of some sort like at Tirta Empul. I guess my best bet is to leave your baggage in the trunk of your car ( if you are driving) so you don't bring any attention to your personal items. Hope it helps!
