Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the most run down place I’ve visited. The toilet facilities are accidents waiting to happen. Most of the buildings are locked. The toilet is completely dark and covered in red back spiders and huntsman. There is rarely any toilet paper. There is no running water. The toilet has to be over 50 years old. It’s rusty and unspeakably dirty. Spiders crawling all around it. It floods when it rains and smells putrid. The committee running it have been saying they’ll replace it for over 3 years and have the money to do so but haven’t. The only reason I can think of is most of the men are members of the gun club and would prefer no people. I have recently read of someone trying to navigate using it without injury only to find her phone fall in. Forgetting she’d had it in her pocket. This happened while trying to reach for toilet paper out of reach as it was too dark to see if there was any in the broken holder. I’ve told her she needs to sue the committee for the cost of a new phone. Thankfully it seems the council retrieved it but it is unusable. Shame on you for allowing something so many need to use become unusable.

The recreational reserve is located on the right hand side of the New England Highway, approximately 10 km’s before Glen Innes, while travelling north.
It’s a nice picnic or coffee stop a worth a look at the interesting granite outcrops.
The balancing rock is on private property, but it is easily viewed from the fence line.

Easy to miss, this unique natural rock formation is facinating, how the rocks balance on top of one another. There is a playground in the area. There is no signage other than there is a clay shooting area on the same road in.
