This is a lovely church that you won't want to miss. All covered in gold, such a piece of art. There are free tours on it, where you can learn a little bit about the history, just don't forget to tip the guide.

Gorgeous chapel with a deep-rooted historical foundation. I loved the inspirational Arabic Style design. Lovely gold tones and elaborate decor. A beautiful eclectic combination of possible Rococo and Islamic style. Soothingly light permeated through the stained glass windows.

It seems that the Dominican churches in Mexico are tributes to Spanish Baroque and gold leaf. Way over the top, but well worth seeing.

Stumbled across this little gem while heading back to the hotel. Big courtyard and chuch with a chapel off to the side. Here get ready to be impressed with the baroque interior!

Capilla del Rosario is one of the Worl Heritage place, protected by UNESCO. It is so stunning, that words really fail to describe the beauty. You have to see it to believe it. One of the wonders of the world.

When I was there on a Sunday, every 30 minutes, there was a donation-based guided tour inside the chapel telling you its history and details of its construction.

The interior decoration of Rosary Chapel (Capilla del Rosario) is not like anything I have seen anywhere else in a church recently. I certainly have seen quite a few really beautiful churches on our tour of Mexico but this church is jaw dropping in its...More
