We went into the mine as part of a city tour. Our guide was not one of the regular guides from the mine but one of the guides from our city tour. She was very good at explaining the history of the mine and especially the history of the indigenous people as miners. The explanation she gave was the best... More

Quite a story to learn of the history of the mine and the people who worked in it over the years. Wonderful collection of gems as well, but they didn't give us enough time to look at them. Cut our visit short to get us back on the train to the entrance.

A very interesting place ( although I'm claustrophobic). The tour took around 1 hour and was very informative. The guide was super funny too. Very well explained and lots of things to see.

Before to go i checked TripAdvisor review and seemed to be good. There are 2 entrances. The one ckose to the teleferic andthe other close to the hospital. It's at this entrance where you can take the train to get inside the mine. The other you will have the choice to come back by the same way or take the... More

The Mine is right in the middle of town. It is out of service since the early 1900´s and has been turned into a tourist atraction, You get your helmet , and then a little train takes you into the mine. Inside there is a mineral museum , and then you get to walk back to the entrance through different... More

Enter the mine through the north/upper entrance. It will give you a clear idea of how huge the mine is when you exit at the southern/lower exit.

This is one of the places you do not want to miss when you're visiting Zacatecas. Some of the guides do not speak English, but our guide did not really have that much information to share anyway. A lot of what he had to say was cliches, odd jokes and hot air. Other than that, he was a perfectly nice... More

If you've never been in a mine before, you should go. This is one of the most visited mines in Mexico. It's within walking distance from Zacatecas Centro (about 10 min.), just one block past Parque Alameda. The tour is interesting and you get to walk through a few (restored) tunnels of a real mine. Entry fee is 80 pesos... More

La mina El Eden is THE "must see" place in Zacatecas: a little scaring train trip take you to the heart of the "Mina". A long walk let you discover a lot of interesting things about miners' life. You don't want to lose this...

It's inside a mine, underground one must give some credit for that, but the place it's old plus the day we went it was going to be shut down early as it had been booked for a XV party, the place was empty by the time we were there apart from some families with small children playing around, I had...
