A great place to come visit in this quintessential kiwi town! Come talk to some locals who have lived in the town for a long time and see the many artefacts of local history.

I was most impressed with this small town museum in an impressive old building in the Main Street. Well worth a visit. History of Wairoa area beautifully depicted. Excellent curation. Many ancient taonga on display too. I also liked the current exhibition of local art.
