Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beach is now clean and beautiful. You can rent one of the few day palapas for $45 per person. That comes with a food/credit credit. We ordered 2 margaritas. $26!! Very expensive for Cabo. No chips and salsa. Come for the beach and bring your own drinks.

If you like a quiet "locals beach"... this is where you should go. Very clean beach, in fact while I was there, several food vendors came by to get orders for beach-prepared taquitos or even pizza from a local shop (delivered by motorcycle)...

This is a charming town that boasts a world class marina on one side and a sleepy small Mexican village on the other. Amidst the two you can find one of the few safe swimming beaches in San Jose del Cabo. There are great waves for body surfers and surfers alike, as well as a waveless swimming beach for toddlers next to the playground. It is only a short drive from San Jose del Cabo and has a lovely bridge that provides those coming and going with spectacular views of the city. A definite must see, bring a rental car and plenty of water with you.

My friends and I go fishing out of the Marina four or five times a year. Been fishing from there long before the marina was built. The marina was only a couple of years finished when badly damaged by the last major hurricane. It is 90% back to normal. I usually fish with Modesto or his son's Denny or Adrian. Carlos or Pollo are also good choices. There are a lot of other boats. They all know what they are doing and we usually have fun productive fishing day. Days range from spectacular to poor but that is fishing. Boats range from 23 ft. pangas to cruisers. Best if you make reservations but you usually can find a boat anytime especially during April through November. Go to marina a day or two before your fishing day or go trough your hotel. Fish cleaning is available at marina for tips and your boat captain can give you guidance as to how much. Most speak some English but there are folks that are bi-lingual. Bring lunch and water or other drinks.
Not real thrilled with hotel ganzo. it takes away from the beauty of the area.

This is a great little town just outside of San Jose del Cabo. Not fancy or elegant; typical old Mexico. The Marina is relatively new and the fishing is great from there as the boats can get to the "Gorda Banks" in just a few minutes. Dont line up fishing trips in advance or through the hotel or travel agent; go the the marina and negotiate directly with the captain of the boats. You eliminate the middel man and they are less expensive. Additionally, you can see the boat, ammenities, and how well you communicate with "El Capitan". Personally I like the smaller "Super Pangas" for just 2 people. Make sure they have a fighting chair, outriggers, ice box, rod belts, live bait wells and sun shade canopies. You can also negotiate into the price the bait and beer.
There are a few small restaurants close to the marina which we had a wonderful lunche of traditional mexican food. Everything fresh and from scratch; even the tortillas and salsas. Did not go to the beach or stay in the local hotel.

This place has change in the last few years.
Once hidden, only known to die hard fisherman.
There is a major yacht harbor and marina. Don't forget some of the best fishing in Los Cabos.
I still miss the beach launching of the pangas.

we had dinner here recommended by someone that has been coming to this area for twelve years. Probably one of the best meals we have had! I had the fish of the day seasoned with crushed chillies and pumpkin seeds my husband had the lamb stew the presentation was out of this world. It was like eating a beautiful piece of art work. The outdoor patio is quaint and peaceful

This is my favorite beach in San Jose! I spend most of the year here and am a total beach lover. I can walk this beautiful beach for a long distance- it is very safe both for swimming and for being on my own. The color of the water and clarity are stunning!

Hola fellow vacationers... if you drove to Cabo or are renting a car... and want to actually get into the water safely... head over to La Playita, it's at the end of the Hoteleria next to El Ganzo Hotel you'll see the wave breaker rocks (which make it safe to swim in). It has plenty of parking, get there early and before 2pm because its not a secret and the locals flock to it and after 2pm the kids are out of school.

Only dislike... its not a really big area... so get there early!!! LoL
