Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located between The One and Only Palmilla and Cabo Surf hotel. 2 ways to experience this beach: For free: park up on the small lot, just off the highway and walk through a man made tunnel to get to the beach. Be sure to bring food, drinks and shade as there are no (free) beach amenities.
Or, you can enter through the gates to Cabo Surf Hotel, park in their small lot, enjoy a fantastic breakfast or lunch on their outside patio and then head down to the beach area. The hotel rents umbrella's and chairs for the day ($15 - 20, but no loungers, those are for hotel guests only). You can also have lunch delivered down to the beach, which is quite nice. There is a shower at the bottom of the stairs that go up to the hotel patio that you can use to cool off and clean off, however only hotel guests are able to use the pool. We have enjoyed this beach many times, both ways, and we love it, there are plenty of nice seashells to be found and excellent waves to surf. The hotel rents surfboards and offers lessons for non-hotel guests.

It is a bit of a hassle when there is no parking, but if you find parking, it is an easy walk to the beach. Great for beginner long board surfers.
Nice walk along the beach as you head west. We walked from Acapulquito to Playa Palmilla and back. Nice walk with great ocean sounds on one side and the views of the multimillion dollar homes on the other.
Lots of locals at Playa Palmilla, which was great to see the interaction of whole families enjoying the beach before heading back to a smaller and quieter Playa Acapulquito.

Best surf beach for long boards and for lessons. Lots of Rocks but Cabo Azul Surf Shop gives great lessons. Bring water shoes. You can dip in but not a swimming beach because of the high surf activity and constant waves. . Better swimming beaches at Playa Maria and Chileno and Pamilla. We spent 5/9 days here surfing.

Although they rent boogie boards, the beach is beyond rocky. Not only are there rocks but also sea urchins on those rocks spent 25 on a boogie board to spend 15 minutes in the water and decided against it. Cerritos is the place for boogie boarding and chilleno beach for swimming.

Great surf here when the tide is low. Definitely paddle out and don't stand in the shallows, you'll get stung by sea urchins.

My only gripe with this place is that there appears to be some localism happening. Don't get me wrong, there are also some friendly locals, chatting you up and giving you tips. However, a select few seem to think they own the ocean and its waves. For example, today a local with a red and white board kept saying I got in his way of a wave when he was paddling parallel to the wave and I was going perpendicular to get out of the closeout zone. He proceeded to swear and push my board. I mean, you don't gotta go to that extreme.

Still, a good spot to go, just beware of some entitled folks out there.

Surf classes, restaurant, beautiful beach and good surfing here. The beach is not open to dogs and the sea is not good for swimming! Rocks and surfers are all around...

I love this beach - it's great for swimming and surfing (or surf watching). I also love the restaurant 7 Seas above the beach - great views and when you are tired of the sun, you can go grab something to eat and then return back to the beach.

This beach is right in front of the Cabo Surf Hotel. Go there in a cab, get set up on the beach with an umbrella ($18) and enjoy the beach. You pay for your items in the hotel and bring the receipt to the surf shop and they will set you up.

There is a great walk north from the hotel on great sand and interesting rock formations; like a mini Arch. Note: Doyle's surf shop is in a prime location and it does cost more ($39 for a couple hours for a board rather than $20-25 at other spots). You cannot beat the location and convenience however.

Just watch out for La Roca. Many surfers and paddleboarders. Limited parking is available above the beach. A steep walk down to the beach.

We read online you could snorkel here, the surf if very rough it’s better for surfing. Pretty view and parking is ok. Would go to another beach. Lots of urchin.
