Great downtown area but lots of construction and streets are all torn up..not that easy to navigate but the shops are clearly suffering and you could likely get good deals.

Sadly under going refurbishment, should be finished by December. We will be back the town has a great character, some interesting shops, particularly the Opal shop on the square.

Lots of little shops to choose from, and only a short walk from the hotel zone. Felt very safe as a woman by myself. Will be even better once the construction is completed.

We heard about the art festival night during our hotel stay. Grabbed a cab about 5 30 pm and headed there. By 6 30 the streets were packed visiting all of the outstanding art vendors throughout the square. Well worth the trip

Really nice resort city. This place has very beautiful beaches, numerous restaurants and a lot of souvenir boutiques where you will find anything you need and want. Only glitch … construction everywhere.

Usually a great place to visit, the entire plaza is under reconstruction now. Stores and Side streets open... poor shopkeepers... I didn't even haggle.

I could just feel that this would be the place to be, if not for the construction... This was our first visit to this area.. I am not sure why it needed to be redone, or if it really needed to be redone...sometimes taking away...More

We had trouble finding the downtown area since there was so much construction going on and the main road was closed to traffic. There are nice shops surrounding the main square, along with the church, and restaurants.

This wss one of the most friendliest places I've ever been to. The people were warm and hospitable and not too in hurry to give you a legitimate smile and hello. I wished I could have stayed longer.

Not much to see. Very run down. Lots of construction. Many stores were not open. The sidewalks need a lot of repairs. So many homes and tripping hazards!

Hello there... I always get pesos there at the ATM of Banamex or BBV (Mexican banks) and the bank fees are RIDICULOUSLY low in comparison with in the US... most of the restaurants offer you a check with both pesos and US... More

Absolutely. It's the Routa del Desierto. It's opposite the Mega Mall. It will take you directly to where the Marina is and where the tours begin. It's about 30 to 45 minutes in air conditioned comfort. Cost is $ 2 us
