Since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, most of my surfing is done in the Santa Cruz with occasional trips to SoCal. I have surfed Hawaii, Bali and Costa Rica. This was my first trip to Cabo. The staff at Costa Azul were very professional and extremely friendly. What impressed me was the quality of the boards that... More

There is no need to go to the hassle and expence of bringing surfboards when you are traveling anywhere in the Cabo region of Mexico. All you need to do is visit, "Costa Azul Surfshop", in San Jose Del Cabo. I have surfed all over the world and usualy travel with boards, but for the price and the exceptional quality... More

Surfing was one of those items on my bucket list and at age 40, I can not only cross it off, but loved it! Roy was my instructor and he knew exactly what he was doing. I got up and surfed in numerous times and he was always there to make sure I was safe. Very chill dude which was... More

I am an experienced surfer of 40 yrs and have surfed many places in that time. no matter where you go, over that many years, as a surfer you will undoubtedly run into someone who thinks that the place you`re surfing is "their" beach. I had an experience like this in cabo and found myself in a potentially bad situation.... More

Never tried surfing before , so my wife books after researching on trip advisor, even though we were absolutely awful is was a lot of fun ,it was a 2 hour lesson , but let's be honest it ain't easy, sure I was tossed around like a cork & unceremoniously vomited on to the shore by the sea, but I'm... We paid 100$ for the lessons for two people for two hours of surfing and had learned to surf in less than 30 minutes! Our instructor, Roy, was so wonderful! Fluent in English and knew exactly what we needed to succeed! They even had a beach spot set up for us with water and umbrellas and sunscreen etc. Everyone at... More

They were surfing by the first half hour of a two hour lesson. The instructors couldn't have been nicer. Would definitely recommend taking this lesson. It's a great experience. My three kids had the time of their lives!

We loved learning how to Surf with Alex! We were there in April and had a great time with him one on one, and then signed his wall afterwards :)

Learning to Surf was so easy with Alex and his great staff! He gave us three steps to follow which we practiced on land a few times then off we went with him and his two guides. There was four in our group and we were catching waves right from the start! The was no rush and they were so... More
