Clean mall

We enjoyed our time at Puerto Paraiso. The mall was clean and quiet, and the employees were welcoming and helpful. It was a great way to spend a few hours during the rain.

Mall had some quirks but worth a visit!
Sep. 2021 • Couples
This is a descent sized mall. Mainly 1 level. There is a small upper level for food, but not a huge selection. It’s pretty warm inside and many stores are closed most likely from pandemic. Some escalators were inoperable and the mens bathroom near the food court needs some minor repairs. This mall still had a good amount of stores open for shopping with descent prices pending what store you visit. We visited a couple of souvenir shops and my wife bought shoes in a nice shoe store near the luxury stores corridor. Overall a descent mall to visit and shop.

Let Down

Half of the stores were empty. Very dark in corridors. Some escalators didn't work. I'm not sure they have air, it actually felt cooler outside. Not a great variety. Very disappointed.

Nice mall
Apr. 2021 • Friends
Nice big mall had security there and provided sanitizer. Many shops but some seemed close from Covid. Definitely nice to check and see if you want to purchase anything or stroll around and take photos of you want.

Under 12 year olds are not allowed in due to covid restrictions (July 2021)
Jul. 2021 • Family
Wanted to go shopping somewhere with a/c, because outside was too hot for a baby. We weren’t allowed in, as the baby was under 12 years old (2 months). This is apparently due to some covid restrictions. Also the luxury mall next door seemed to have the same policy. So if you are on family holiday, be prepared to possible restrictions and save the journey.

Can’t tell much about the shops, but the burgers and service at WTF were excellent. We used the outside entrance and the waitress was very kind and gave us a table inside where a/c was on, even though I think she wasn’t supposed to. This was a life saver! Cooled off and bellies full we returned to our hotel. Hence two stars for the mall.

Not too.much to see

Not very many stores left. I think COVID has taken its toll on this mall as well. Definitely not this shoppers heaven. There is a souvenir shop there. You can shop without the haggle of the street vendors. You won't miss much in here. The Google reviews definitely don't match the property

Weird security guard yelling at potential customers
Jun. 2021 • Family
I have been to this mall a few times over the past 8 years. We will go in for an ice cream or a souvenir to bring home. My kids who are 10 and 13 and I were going to check out the mall this trip. The security card started yelling at me that no babies were allowed. My youngest is 5 feet tall and 105 lbs… he is actually bigger than the guard yelling at me. It was the weirdest experience. Later I peeked in at the mall and it looked like the trend was down and shops had closed, maybe due to COVID or maybe due to yelling at potential customers before they come in??

It’s okay, good location at marina. Love to park there, they have couple grade A restaurants in the outer edge. Basic stuff and some local crafty stores. Popular place and safe

Great mall, had everything!
Dec. 2020
This is a great mall in te center of a waterfront restaurant / shopping area. It had everything that you'd be looking for, including Pandora. There's a regular mall area and a luxury side with the high end stores.
They have beautiful Christmas decorations outside. They also have a play areas outside, on the second floor, for the kids. WTF burger is just outside the mall. Other feed places and ice cream are inside the mall. Very family friendly place.

Convenient
Dec. 2020 • Couples
This mall was just about a 5 minute walk from our resort which was great because I needed some t shirts and souvenirs. The resort we stayed at didn’t have a whole lot of selections. I’d say it’s a decent mall. We didn’t stay long or looked all around. It’s two stories. If you forgot to pack a swim suit you will definitely find one here! Lots stores that offered it. When you first walked in there was a guard with a mask on at a table that had hand sanitizer and he checked our temperature on our forearm before we can go shop. The T-shirt shop when you first walk in to the right from the backside we came in at was huge with lots of selections of souvenirs and what not. Prices were cheap. I could have stayed longer but felt like the whole mall didn’t have any AC on. We stopped and 3 different stores. The only thing I didn’t like was that even inside the mall were people trying to sell excursions. I thought maybe we’d be safe inside the mall from then. Luckily they weren’t too bad like some others. I would def suggest checking it out and if you wanted to do a little shopping I’m sure you’d find what you want or needed in here.
