Thrift car rental is apparently pulling this scam regularly. We too booked a car through a travel website and paid for insurance for driving in Mexico. They refused to honor the insurance and wanted $590 for insurance!

We too were scammed by Thrifty. Try Avis or Hertz or perhaps your place of lodging can do something for you.

Has anyone rented a car from Hertz at airport? Experience? Open 24/7? Drive time from airport to corridor resort?
