We had gone riding with El Rancho Del Desierto several times now. It's always a fun thing to do for our family

Wonderful beach ride with Astrid! Can't recommend Astrid Ranch enough if you are in San Carlos. Horses were calm and did most of the work for our group of inexperienced riders. They were beautiful and extremely happy. Astrid paired us based on skill level with the right horse and gave us a mini lesson before heading to the beach, but... More

Our family loves this activity. Astrid is wonderful, fun, and informative guide. She loves her horses which are all very well cared for, and loved. They are very well behaved. My 5 y.o. will ride on his own next time!

I took my family and it was excellent. Very nice horses and the owner was very warm and nice. My kids were 4 and 6 and they loved it. There are more challenging rides for more experienced riders. Highly recommended...

I am a somewhat experienced horseback rider and definitely wanted to enjoy a ride in San Carlos. What an exceptional spot to ride with rock structures, desert landscaping and beaches. An all around wonderful experience. Astrid is a great host and cares about her horses. DO IT!

We went through the desert on to the beaches it was beautiful. Astrid took time to take pictures of us and stop when we needed. It is completely... More

We spent a most enjoyable 2+ hours hours riding through the desert and along the beach with El Rancho Del Desierto last week. Astrid, the owner and our guide, took us through the wandering trails in the desert to a tiny fishing village on the coast of the Gulf of California, then back along the beautiful beaches to her base... Have a ranch in Arizona, have horses, decided to check out the stables, we found a well run stable with healthy, happy horses. We're not going to ride but after chatting with the owner, decide to ride. A delightful trip through the dessert and along the beach and so glad we went. This is not touristy, but a great value... If you like horseback riding, you'll love it here! Both the beach and desert are here as well as the Catch 22 movie set (in ruins) are here. We loved it!
