Traveling with a large group can be a daunting task, add to that a 5 & 7 year old...now that makes things more interesting. We were there to have a good time, but the kids safety was of the upmost importance. The entire staff made our day so much fun. We milked cows, saw the chickens lay eggs, my mom... More

I am used to going horse riding in Italy, but the ride at Rancho Xotolar was a truly different experience, and one that I highly recommend! The people at the ranch are the nicest people, especially Felix: after the tour, I felt like I didn't just have a wonderful day on one of his horses, but I had also made... More

The family that owns and runs the ranch is very friendly, professional in explaining everything, and both English and Spanish speaking. The tour is amazing, beautiful views, adrenaline at times if you choose to gallop or you can also go at a slow pace. At the end of the tour we were invited in to eat a wonderful Mexican meal... We took the Half Day Ride, and simply put: the tour exceeding our expectations. Getting from our Airbnb to the ranch could not have been easier, and took 30-40 mins from downtown San Miguel de Allende to the starting point. After a quick tour of the property (and going over the basics of horse-riding for a few minutes), we were... More

Getting to Xotolar Ranch was very easy since it is an accesible route. The people there are extremely friendly always willing to help out and talk about their daily activities. They showed us how to milk a cow, how they make cheese, their crops, and best of all their horses! The horseback ride took us through the sierra, down ravines,... More

It was such a special experience to visit the ranch. The guides were fabulous, they told us exactly how to handle the horses and made us feel very comfortable. They are professional, warm, gracious and the entire experience was like no other. I took my 14 year old daughter and she was in awe to witness how beautiful people around... More
