Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Canada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. If you are interested in adventure tours we can offer activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling... We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Canada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area. And many other activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling...

I visited the Pyramids with 4 other adults and 4 boys 11 to 14. Everyone was amazed and had a wonderful time. You actually climb the Pyramid which looks challenging, but wasn't really that difficult. It was a lot of fun. I recommend the ranch style meal at the end, authentic Mexican meal. Our guide Alberto was wonderful. He is... More

We just finished a horseback riding adventure with Coyote Cannon and highly recommend this company and experience. The staff was kind and patient with my complete lack of Spanish. Christina had us booked on a trip in less than 24 hours. Our guide, Diego, made the trip a perfect moment in time. We shared the fun with two lovely families... More

I had an enjoyable day with Coyote Canyon. For starters, my email correspondence with Cristina was very prompt before and after the excursion, which I appreciated. Our morning was off to a late start which resulted in one of the travelers calling the CCA office to locate our driver but once at the ranch, everything went smoothly. The included lunch... More

It was a wonderful day to get out into the Mexican countryside and see it up close. The sights and sounds, watching the cowboys, hanging with the horses was all great. Totally worth it!

The Pyramid Tour is worth the 5 hours if you are very interested in the history and background of the indigenous people in the area. While not like the Pyramids of Egypt or in Central America, the Pyramid in this area came alive because our guide, Jesus, made a real effort to give us a real flavor of life at... More

Picked up and escorted to the ranch where our horses were awaiting. The ride to the canyon and the descent were truly delightful! I enjoyed galloping even though my horse was a bit too energetic and clumsy for me to feel totally comfortable. The rancheros were more than accommodating and asked if I wanted to change horses but I had... More

I absolutely recommend horseback riding with Coyote Canyon Adventures. I am a 20-something solo traveler and decided to give this trip a try because of the high rating, and I wasn't disappointed! I'm not the most adventurous person in the world and would absolutely classify myself as risk-adverse, but I'd have to say my favorite part was the chance to... More

I think we may be in the minority on this review; however, I think I need to comment first on the condition of the van we took up to the visitor center to change into larger vans. The first van had the following problems which my husband a mechanic noticed right away:not enough operative seat belts for every passenger, dirty... More
