The Guildhall was the centre, once, of this wonderful Essex village. It was a wonderful sunny day so a trip out was needed to revive the spirits. Finchingfield, with its duck pond, nice pubs, tea shops and church is worth a visit. Wander around and...More

Finchingfield village and the Guildhall are such a delight, a village green fronted by duck pond, quaint bridge, candy coloured cottages, pub and tea houses. The Guildhall frequently stages art exhibitions by local daubers. Parking may be tricky in the summer but there are many...More

We held a drinks reception here for my husband's birthday last weekend and it was the perfect venue! Very well looked after, extremely helpful staff and a truly memorable evening.

This is an iconic building in the centre of the village and it is a pleasure to teach there in a venue which was originally a grammar school in the sixteenth century.

It was so exciting when the Guildhall was finally done up - years of painstaking work. The museum is interactive and therefore suitable for children too. Sometimes have events upstairs run by enthusiastic locals.

The notice board on the village green described the Guildhall as Interactive. It certainly was in a way I had not imagined. The information was available so that it could be read or listened to. There were options for the visitor to choose which bits...More
