Another much photographed place in Faroe Islands. The lake is beautiful on its own. But what I liked very much was the spot where the lake reaches the sea. There is a small waterfall (and rapids) which leads to the sea. You could actually go...More

Amazing view of both the lake and the ocean! We walked the distance from the road in rain and wind but with the proper outfit and good mood it was no problem and definitely worth the hike when we got there!

Nice little hike along the biggest lake of Faroe. The cliff is a good place for fotos in any kind of weather. The waterfall nearby is not the biggest but still beautiful with the typical Faroese cliff coastline and the green grass. The hike is...More

There is about a 2 hours return hike to reach the top of the lake that seems to float above the sea. Very lovely walk with many highlights. Highly recommended

The lake, over cliffs, with the ocean below and a waterfall. It's wonderful, a thing you should never miss.

This hike was surprisingly easy. Not to mention the amazing views that we always get where ever we are in Faroe Islands. Would probably consider a bit unlucky for us as the day that we went on this hike, the wind was extremely strong making...More

An easy hike out from the village, the views are quite special. Whilst the proximity to the cliff edge may not be suitable for those with vertigo, hikers easily choose how close to the edge they get. Seeing the cliffs, the lake and the ocean...More

The hike around the lake and the surrounding cliffs was the first things we did once in the island. It was an easy hike that leads to the amazing cliffs at the end of the lake. The imposing scenery is immediately evident once you reach...More
