Pros: Cool, dark cenote. They have artificial lights so you can see. There are bats flying around and it is neat and not that long of a staircase to get down.
Cons: We got grifted. The guys kept trying to upsell us, told us we could visit two cenotes, than only let us go to this one. I think they charged us ~$35 or $40 per person in our group. They said there were snorkels and there were not. They said it was guided and it was not. I am not the person that did the buying, but the girls that did were pretty upset. I recommend to buy ahead whatever entrance fee is required of time if possible or go on a tour to avoid getting chumped.

This is ‘currently’ a hidden gem. As per other review your take a dirt road to reach this cenote. Before arriving you drive past the heavily visited Dos Ojos Cenote - packed with visitors. Just a 2 min drive past this is the secluded Taak Bi Ha Cenote. We only has two other visitors inside when we were there. The man made lighting is not intrusive and brings out the beauty of this location. A must see before it’s no longer a secret.

This is by far the coolest cenote we visited! We came here with a private tour, our guide swam around with us pointing out all the super deep tunnels at the bottom of this cenote. It was absolutely wild to see (we had underwater flashlights... a total must!). It was definitely cold but totally worth it. Don't miss it!

Amazing cenote and well worth a visit. Perhaps slightly expensive at 350 pesos but a beautiful place. Highly recommend getting there early to avoid the crowds. We got there for 09:30 and there were just a couple of divers there so basically had the place to ourselves. As we left the crowds were arriving. Would also recommend purchasing some swimming shoes especially if you’re thinking of visiting a few different cenotes as it’s much easier to walk about on the stoney surface. We picked up some from a supermarket for 400 pesos before our visit.

Highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves water. We went down steps that were carved out of limestone into an underground cenote. Water was pristine and beautiful scenery around it. You can go in with or without flotation devices. If you're just going to be lazy for the day I recommend using the Life vests that they provide. But be careful and respectful and not touch the stalactites and stalagmites.

Beautiful. We went as part of an organized tour to tulum and cenotes. It is in the same area as several other cenotes and there is a delicious restaurant in the complex (Restaurante Juanita). (You do need to drive among the different cenotes and restaurant, but it’s all close by). This cenote was a magical experience. One of the highlights of my vacation. A unique experience.

Very nice underground cenote. Not many steps to get down into, a big plus for us. Water is cool but not cold. Comfortable once in. Not as busy as the ones near chechen Itza or coba. Close to Xel Ha and Xcaret. Road getting can be rough depending on previous weather and when then grade it. We had to go slow in VW Venta but made it ok. This cenote is located in Dos Ojos park area and you pass several other cenotes including dos Ojos cenotes along way so you can make a half day of stopping at others. Entry is 350 peso, more than most others but I think very worth it. In late afternoon we were were there with just 5 other people. 2 were scuba diving and 3 just swimming. Beautiful.

This was so much fun! Snorkeling in a crystal clear underwater cave. Definitely recommend checking this cenote out. There are so many to choose from in Tulum. Here, we avoided the crowds and our tour guide ( Manuel from Carey Tours) led the way through to the cave walking and then swimming throughout. Loved the experience.

August '22, Entry 350 pesos.
Cenote is nice but a bit on the expensive side. We did this one and Santa Cruz, and would definitely recommend the latter one. At that one you have more amenities like changing room, toilets, showers, loungechairs and restaurant which they don't have here.

Wow what a unique and beautiful place! The stairs down to the cenote were a bit steep so we had to take it slow with our two young kids (6 and 3). Our tour guide took care of the tickets so there was no waiting in line. He also brought waterproof flashlights which definitely helped to see where you’re swimming (there are some sharp spots) as well as the views below. We were lucky to have the place mostly to ourselves aside from some small fish swimming in the water and bats flying above us but they didn’t bother us at all.

Hi is the price still $350/$400 with a guide as of August 2021? And free for under 6? Can a 5 year old join the snorkel tour?

Hello! How much is it to visit the Taak Bi Ha. Not to snorkel, just to visit the cenote and go inside?
Written 31 August 2020
We paid 350 pesos but I’ve read others pay more. You can haggle a little.

Hi! What is the best way to get to the entrance if we are taking a collectivo from Akumal? Thank you
Written 31 January 2020
I can’t remember which way on the hwy it would be from Akumul. However, it’s the same entrance as Dos ojos. When you go into the entrance, don’t pay for the parking there. They try to get you to pay just ignore keep driving. You will go by the major cenotes. Keep going and follow signs for this cenote. It’s to your left about ten minutes down the road. You will feel like your lost. This was the best cenote and I’ve been to a lot. If you need any more info feel free to email me. I love that area.
