Cenote Cristal is located a 20 minute bikeride from Tulum. You have to take your bikes along the freeway so it isn't the nicest bike ride so if you want you can also take a taxi. Normally you can go to 2 cenotes with one...More

We went here by ourselves on a rented scooter. It's not a far distance from where we were staying on Boca Paila Tulum. Parking is free as far as I understand. It was low-key with not many people at the cenote but when we went,...More

A small cenote, super clear water, but the mosquitos were insane here, so bad that we had to leave. Also the lady at the front where we paid was NOT friendly at all. We asked if we could pay in American money as we did...More

This is a lovely cenote for swimming and generally relaxing by the water. The changing rooms and toilets are basic concrete rooms but clean and do the job. The water is quite clear but there is some algae in it. There is a platform about...More

Visited Cenote Cristal and Escondido this week. Don't expect something like Gran Cenote or Dos Ojos but it's a nice way to spend a couple hours. You could definitely bike but we took a cab, and the driver returned a couple hours late. Pay 120...More

We found out there were two here and both were awesome for different reasons. Escondido had a rope swing and diving. It was beautiful deep blue water. Crystal had a great dock you could climb and jump off. Neither were crowded and very well kept.

It may not be one of the famous ones, but it sure is beautiful. It is open air surrounded by jungle. Especially at opening time, when you are the only one there, with just the butterflies, dragonflies and the birds. The water is clear. There...More
