We did get to see a few neat birds but had been told that this was a sanctuary where the indigenous birds were free to come and go. However some (like the parrots) are kept in place and one big section is caged. There was also no signage, brochures, etc. -- nothing to tell us anything at all about the... More

Great place. Laid out nice and easy to get around. Its very clean. The birds freaked me out a bit as you had to walk down a narrow path right by them but it was still really cool and educational.

A very fun experience for family, kids,, friends or even solo. Beautiful, small park like setting in the jungle with numerous birds.

I wasn't unhappy with the Aviary, but unhappy with the cost (about $18pp US). The attraction is well situated in Playacar (adjacent south of Playa del Carmen). There is ample parking, but you can always take a cab. The birds were plentiful, but I had hpoed the park was larger. Those with difficulty walking or with large strollers, I might... More

We have visited many times over the years of coming here. We enjoy each visit. The admission price has climbed significantly over the past few years

I've never been so close to a great egret. Truly thrilling for me. It cost a $20 entry fee, but, if you love birds, it was worth it. We saw all different kinds of egrets, ibis, storks, pelicans, and flamingos, plus some other tropical birds I couldn't identify. We also spotted a couple of orioles migrating through. They feed the... More

I love birds so I thought this would be a great self excursion while staying in playa del Carmen. Not worth it. Sponsored by the Playa del Carmen mall and you pay $20 to get in to see five different types of birds. Not worth the time and the money. it took us less than 30 minutes to look at... More

This park made us so happy! To see these birds in a mostly uncaged environment was such a joy. We were in Playa 10 days. Aside from Chichen Itzha, this was our most awed moments. Thank you Mexico for being friends with citizens from the USA.

Expensive attraction for the amount of time you see the whole place. Lovely flamingos and other nice birds bt its not impressive and I belive this attraction will close soon due to develoment in the area.

Prices are at 15 usd for something that was a pleasure to visit in the past but the owners of the park have decided to initiate a construction of a condominium in the park where recently the birds enjoyed their space and freedom. Now the animals live in a reduced space and are very stressed by the construction works and... More
