This was a once in a lifetime experience for us to swim in an underground cenote. Our guide was very friendly and knowledge about the cenotes and the history of the area. The water was freezing at first (we're from the Caribbean so it may not be the same for you) but by the time we got to the cenote... More

This was an absolutely incredible experience. My husband and I went and we had the tour to ourselves with our guide Ricardo. It was perfect for the rainy day since you are underground almost the entire tour. I was expecting the water to be freezing but it's actually pretty comfortable and you can also ask for wetsuits if you'd like... More

Chaak Tun is a wonderful hidden gem! Included with admission was everything we needed to enjoy the underground Cenote. Wet suits, mask and snorkel, flashlights, water shoes and life vests. We spent three and a half hours exploring the underground rivers, caves and caverns. Abel was an amazing guide. So knowledgeable, patient and fun! Our family of seven included children... More

The installation are clean. The guided tour was good.Abel let us swim without life jacket and do some jumps. It's impressive to see the roots how they pass through the rocks to reach water. The entrance to the park was 500 pesos.

This is such a cool place to visit. Great family event and super fun. We loved the unique setting. We have never seen anything like cenote Chaak Tun, and have visited a great deal of caves. Our guide(Adrian) was very good. He gave information on Mayan history as well as cenote ecosystems, a pleasant surprise. If you are in Playa... More

Booked this through Royal Caribbean as an Excursion on our stop at Cozumel. About a 45 minute ferry ride over to Playa del Carmen and then a 20 minute bus ride from there. Our guides, Marcelo and Rubin, were outstanding and really made the trip. Went with two teenage girls, and while they did complain a little about how cold... More

We visited Chaak Tun as a group of 9 adults. Very reasonable rates (500 pesos or approx $30 US per person). Everything is included in the price -- masks, snorkels, water shoes, flashlight, wetsuit and flashlight, also a locker to store your things while swimming. This is a cave Cenote, where you will see stalactites, bats, catfish and get to... More

We did this as part of an excursion to Chichen Itsa. It's quite an amazing site once you get in. I took lots of photos but didn't swim. I was told the water was a little cold but you get used to it. Lots of changing facilities on site and we also had a nice meal (with local dancing) on... More
