The staff very helpful offered maps and even a free voucher for the Mayan Museum. There is a free walking tour at 9:30 am and 5:30m from city hall office. English and Spanish

We have used this place several times. They are so friendly and so willing to help you out. Plus give you even more information than what you even asked for. They spoke English very well, which was a bonus. As our Spanish is very limited.

An older man gives the tours in both English and Spanish. Very uninspired. Talking too fast and we decided too leave after 15minutes

The people working here were very informative and friendly. The free walking tour coordinated through here is interesting and informative about the history of the city and area.

While I am sure there are commercial tours most of the attractions are withing walking distance of the central square. I think there is an audio tour you can check out from the City Turismo office. I like to take my own time... More

The cruise lines plan excursions to Celestun and Uxmal so they may also plan trips to Merida which is closer than Celestun to the Progresso port.
