The cathedral is beautiful inside and out. The architecture is amazing. The cathedral is located on the city square. As such, the outside walls are used for backgrounds for performances. Very interesting.

This is something everyone visits while in Mérida, the Main Square. Many authentic buildings and worth a visit. What you should probably do while there is visit main Mercado (market), it is crowded, it smells, it's sweaty but it's something you should experience before hopefully going back to your rented beautifully renovated Colonial home and plunging into the pool. A must see. One of the larger cathedrals I've seen in Mexico. Very traditional in its feel. Of course right in the heart of the plaza.

Many things to do in there. 2 or 3 museum traditional food and drinks Don't try Dulceria y Sorbeteria Colon - Montejo (ice cream store) too expensive and too simple flavors. Visit "Casa De la Tia" excellent drinks and food and prices"

Very busy and very old. Lots of shops trying to sell you stuff, owners all speak reasonable english so there wasn't any hassels. Uber can get you in and out quickly if desired.

A not to be missed walk while in merida. Stroll the streets. See historic buildings. Find great foods. This Cathedral is old. Not extremely well kept in comparison to other cities. Still in use. Lovely charm.

Enjoyed the visit to the Cathedral at mass event, it is beautiful in the inside and out. The resonance of the words and impressive height, minimalistic Spanish concept inside and nice illumination on outside. Beautiful architectural design beside the spiritual peaceful environment.

The Cathedral was absolutely beautiful. In a great part of town. They even had an international chess tournament going on.

The architecture of this cathedral is very simple with not a lot of ornaments. From the facade to the interior is built with a light rock with simple lines and design.
